Deep purple-black; pulls free from the hollow centre. Strongly flavoured. Picks over about two weeks — check every couple of days.
Wonderful large berries!! A bit mosquito-ey back in the thicket but well worth it
7/13 update: lots of bushes. Just off the trail.
