🔍 When is it ripe?
Fully black (not red or dark red) and comes off the stem with no resistance — zero pull. Dull rather than shiny; a shiny black berry is still slightly underripe and tart. Eat the same day for best flavour.
Lots of blackberry bushes along the road on NE 15th just north of NE 168th St - east and west. But if you go into the field on the west side of NE 15th Ave, the bushes are all along the tree line and not sprayed at all.
