🔍 When is it ripe?
Small, orange to yellow fruits in large bunches near the base of fronds. Ripe when fully orange and falls freely. Flavour is apricot and pineapple; very high in pectin — excellent jelly. Short window in summer.
Fruit are pale orange, ripe when you can easily remove them from the droop. Be aware of pit in center of fruit. Delicious raw.
