🔍 When is it ripe?
Blue-black berries in flat clusters; cook before eating. Ripe when uniformly dark blue-black and heavy. Also note: elderflowers in June are edible raw and excellent for cordial.
Very young tree here that Seek has identified as an elder. It's March right now so there may be flowers or berries later in the year.
