🔍 When is it ripe?
Fully yellow with no green remaining; skin slightly glossy and gives a little when squeezed. Heavy for its size indicates juiciness. Unlike most fruit, lemons can hang on the tree for months once ripe without deteriorating.
Lemon tree in Nirvana Park, looks like it might have grown from a lemon that fell from the tree on the private property side of the fence. It's not easiest to get to as you have to trample on plants to get to it. I also think there was a Pukeko nesting right near it, because it came out of high grass nearby and was not happy when I was picking some lemons
