🔍 When is it ripe?
Green husks turn brown and split; nuts drop naturally. Gather promptly before wildlife. Kernels should be plump and cream-coloured. Dry before storing.
Hickory Nuts-If you cross the street from ben franklin to the park and then walk down the diagonal path through it you should hit it about 1/3 away from the center of the park. There will be a trash can on your left. There are 2 trees, you may have to fight a few squirrels for them
