🔍 When is it ripe?
Ripe when fully coloured (white, red, or black by species) and falls at a touch. Spread a sheet and shake the branches. Extremely perishable — process or eat immediately.
Old growth Mulberries. This grove was ordered to be planted by Brigham Young in an effort to create a prosperous silk industry in Utah. These trees are well over 100 years old and grown from seeds transported from the east with the Mormon pioneers.
