🔍 When is it ripe?
Red to yellow, about 2 cm across. Tart-sweet when ripe; flesh softens and the fruit falls readily. Good raw or cooked. Watch for early drop — often ready by mid-August.
Three trees located on the north sidewalk in front of Chabom tea, Big Momma's and going westward. Public access. Fruit was still on the tree by mid-December but falling and those still on the tree were wrinkled and frost damaged.
