🔍 When is it ripe?
Fully black (not red or dark red) and comes off the stem with no resistance — zero pull. Dull rather than shiny; a shiny black berry is still slightly underripe and tart. Eat the same day for best flavour.
There are blackberry and raspberry bushes along the red trail. Make sure you're at the rt-82 parking lot for Buttercup Farm - if you type the name into Maps it will likely take you to the other parking area on the fare side of a major road. Haven't seen any berry bushes there.
