🔍 When is it ripe?
Fully black (not red or dark red) and comes off the stem with no resistance — zero pull. Dull rather than shiny; a shiny black berry is still slightly underripe and tart. Eat the same day for best flavour.
This is a young patch of Blackberries along trail edge. Plants are in good condition. Leaves are ovate and turn dark red in fall.
Caution: Stems contain many thorns, careful when touching.
