🍎
Apple (Malus)
📍 Fisher's Mill Park, 370 King St W, Dundas, ON L9H 1W7, Canada
🗓 Season: August · September · October · November
🔍 When is it ripe?
Background skin colour shifts from green toward yellow; seeds turn brown when ripe. Fruit separates from the spur with a gentle upward twist. Aroma develops near the base. Wild Malus fruit is often small and tart — excellent for cider and jelly.
Single, mature apple tree, planted by the city in Fisher park. Produces edible fruit, but better for cooking (i.e. apple pie). Casually maintained by neighbours. Please don't rip off branches when harvesting.
