Background skin colour shifts from green toward yellow; seeds turn brown when ripe. Fruit separates from the spur with a gentle upward twist. Aroma develops near the base. Wild Malus fruit is often small and tart — excellent for cider and jelly.
2 apple trees produce A LOT of apples September-December. The one right on the corner of Humboldt & Albina has high quality juicing & pie apples with branches that reach down to the sidewalk outside the property's fence. Please take as many as you want.
