White mulberry

📍 35 Granite St, Milford, MA 01757, USA
White mulberry Public
🗓 Season: May · June · July
🔍 When is it ripe?
White to pale pink or lavender when ripe. Very sweet and mild. Falls from the tree when ripe — spread a sheet below and shake. Extremely delicate; eat within hours. Ripe berries stain less than black mulberry but deteriorate even faster.
Several white mulberry trees right along the trail. The taste is similar to dates. Quite sweet. You'll know they're ripe when you see purple red stains on the trail. My kids enjoy eating them.
