Banana

📍 5116 Willow St., New Orleans, LA 70115
Banana Private but overhanging
🗓 Season: January · February · March · April · May · June · July · August · September · October · November · December
🔍 When is it ripe?
Skin turns from green to fully yellow; brown flecks ('sugar spots') signal peak sweetness. Harvest when yellow but firm; ripen at room temperature. Do not refrigerate unripe — turns skin black without ripening flesh.
To the left, when facing 5116 Willow St., tree is in neighbor's yard, but overhangs the sidewalk. No permission given to enter yard, but if you can reach bananas they go to waste without enough people picking them.
