🔍 When is it ripe?
Must be fully ripe (very soft, almost jelly-like) before eating. Harvest after first frost or when naturally falling. Dark orange to purple when ready. Rich, caramel-sweet flavour.
On Reston Association walking trail near baseball field. Large tree with falling orange fruit! Plenty on the ground and a lot still up in the tree.
