🔍 When is it ripe?
Fully black (not red or dark red) and comes off the stem with no resistance — zero pull. Dull rather than shiny; a shiny black berry is still slightly underripe and tart. Eat the same day for best flavour.
If you go for a walk here at Rabbit Ings then from the main car park follow either path that leads you towards the hill and then go left and it will take you to a little body of water, if you follow that path just a little futher up you will find a huge amount of blackberry bushes. In all fairness though there are lots all over the walking trails here so fill your boots and enjoy.
