🔍 When is it ripe?
Ornamental plum with small red-purple fruit. Tart raw but edible when fully soft and deeply coloured. Usually best cooked into jam or sauce.
The health of the leaves towards the bottom are pretty dry and are being eaten by many bugs. A very beautiful purple tree, head North on Prospect Drive and you can't miss it
