📍 R57F+WH Weston, SC, USA
Pawpaw Public
🗓 Season: August · September · October
🔍 When is it ripe?
Green skin turns slightly yellow and gives like a ripe avocado. Custard-like, mango-banana scented flesh inside. Falls at the slightest touch. Very short shelf life — refrigerate and eat within days. Found throughout eastern North America.
Large number of pawpaws along the bottom section of the Weston Lake Loop. Trees begin to become common shortly after leaving Sims Trail intersection (going counter-clockwise) and stay quite common until the Oak Ridge intersection. Plants of a variety of stages of growth can be found, with larger plants generally bearing more fruit.
