🔍 When is it ripe?
Golden-orange colour all over; red blush is fine but green means unripe. Gives slightly under thumb pressure and separates cleanly from the pit. Sweet, floral aroma. Short window — harvest daily once they start colouring.
The apricot tree fruits on even years. Hard to pinpoint the exact location, because it's inside the arboretum at PERC. On the south side, slightly to the west of the crab-apple trees. It's labeled with a tag that says "apricot". Fruit has a small window when it is ripe--it falls when overripe, is sour and hard when not ripe.
