🔍 When is it ripe?
Fully black (not red or dark red) and comes off the stem with no resistance — zero pull. Dull rather than shiny; a shiny black berry is still slightly underripe and tart. Eat the same day for best flavour.
There's a trailhead to the West on Sligo Ln. that you can see on sattelite view. The trail is for hiking, horseback riding, and mountain biking. Walk down the hill on the trail (connecting trail between two loops) until you come to a low spot. There's a mowed trail through the tree line on the left. As soon as you make it through to the open field, take a left. Some are in the trees, but most are in the field.
