📍 1014 N 32nd St, Richmond, VA 23223, USA
Linden Private but overhanging
🗓 Season: June · July
🔍 When is it ripe?
Harvest fragrant yellow flowers in clusters when freshly open. Dry immediately for tea. Young leaves in April–May are edible raw. Flowers make a mild, honey-scented tea reputed as a relaxant.
Large tilia tree here in front of a house. Many branches overhang the road and an abandoned neighboring lot, with many blooms within reach without wandering into the front yard where the tree is planted. Even more could be harvested from the bed of a pickup truck. Flowers make a wonderful tea used medicinally to treat anxiety.
