🔍 When is it ripe?
Fully black (not red or dark red) and comes off the stem with no resistance — zero pull. Dull rather than shiny; a shiny black berry is still slightly underripe and tart. Eat the same day for best flavour.
The entire path is lined with blackberries with no car contamination. No street parking so plan on walking from the neighborhood nearby. Trail is dirt and is steep in the beginning. I visited on 8/8 and there was some already ripe.
