Kumquat

📍 1360 Ridgecrest St, Monterey Park, CA 91754, USA
Kumquat
🗓 Season: November · December · January · February
🔍 When is it ripe?
Deep orange-gold; eaten whole — the sweet rind offsets the tart flesh. Ripe when uniformly orange, slightly soft, and very fragrant. The entire fruit is edible raw.
Two small kumquat trees, with a good amount of fruit. Fruit is on the edge of a yard, but within 3 feet of the sidewalk, and low to the ground.
