🔍 When is it ripe?
Green husks turn brown and split; nuts drop naturally. Gather promptly before wildlife. Kernels should be plump and cream-coloured. Dry before storing.
Although the more open area of the park to the near northwest of this location has numerous trees with good yields, they are also more known by visitors. There is a tree in the forest's edge behind the "Shagbark shelter" that seemed completely unpicked.
