Free mulch pile. The City of Ames allows residents to take mulch as needed. Mulch is made from downed trees and limbs within city limits. The quality is ok you have to look around. The area is unpaved and you have to bring your own buckets and shovels. No staffing on the property. See posted hours for picking mulch.
