Muscadine

Muscadine Private
🗓 Season: August · September · October
🔍 When is it ripe?
Large, bronze or purple berries; thick skin. Ripe when fully coloured and falls freely from the vine with a shake. Very sweet and musky; thick skin usually discarded. Harvest by shaking clusters over a bucket.
This is in the back of the Nature Coast Physical Therapy building. The vines are growing all over the trees. The grapes are delicious! Muscadines have thick skin. I usually squeeze the grape out of the skin to eat them. They are also good for making wine, juice, or jelly.
