🔍 When is it ripe?
Deep purple-black when ripe; intensely flavoured and juicy. Spread a tarp and shake the tree — ripe fruits fall immediately. Stains everything permanently — wear old clothes. Do not pick unripe red berries (mildly hallucinogenic).
Tree overhangs the sidewalk from Glen woods onto Stephens Avenue. When in season, it is full of delicious mulberries. can find it easily because said mulberries fall off and dye the sidewalk purple. ate from it several times from may-june, but I'm not sure what the exact season for it is. Look for fruit around spring finals I guess.
