🔍 When is it ripe?
Dark blue-purple with a silvery bloom. Sweet and dense when ripe; separates from the stone cleanly. Can be left on the tree to partially dry for natural prunes.
Orchard tree planting 2017 - One Tree Per Child is still planting whips and fruit trees and this very morning an orchard was planted in a corner of the Recreation Ground - “The Rec” - off St Edyth’s Road. Well done Lucy Wallis, a resident of Sea Mills, who has worked closely with the NP’s Environment Group and organised this planting.
