🔍 When is it ripe?
Fully black (not red or dark red) and comes off the stem with no resistance — zero pull. Dull rather than shiny; a shiny black berry is still slightly underripe and tart. Eat the same day for best flavour.
Huge swath of wild blackberries. East side of 82nd Aveenue, along the sidewalk. Be careful, it's a busy area & the plants are very mature which means huge thorns.
