🔍 When is it ripe?
Clusters of orange-yellow fruit; ripe when fully orange with no green, yields to gentle pressure, and comes off the stem with a slight tug. Very sweet and aromatic when right — mealy if overripe. Short shelf life after picking.
Loquat tree in parking lot of Sheoah III condo complex, growing around the dumpster. Productive tree when I lived there, a little on the tall side, I used to stretch a wire hanger out and loop the end to grab them. I don't think you will have any trouble with residents because I barely even knew my neighbors and I picked fruit off the tree every year.
