🔍 When is it ripe?
Small apples ripen from green to red, yellow, or orange by variety. Very tart raw but excellent for jelly and cider. Ripe when the colour is fully developed and the fruit lifts off with a gentle twist.
Located on south side of the road, with no footpath on a blind bend in the road. Best foraged with someone else on north side of the road to watch out for (40 kph) traffic.
