🔍 When is it ripe?
Fully black (not red or dark red) and comes off the stem with no resistance — zero pull. Dull rather than shiny; a shiny black berry is still slightly underripe and tart. Eat the same day for best flavour.
Lots of berries both sides of the road, road is busy so take care when crossing. Tall grass around the berries, so wear protective footwear and long clothes. Plenty of harvest, couldn't access all of it though because of thickness of grass and potential worry about snakes.
