🔍 When is it ripe?
Deep purple-black when ripe; intensely flavoured and juicy. Spread a tarp and shake the tree — ripe fruits fall immediately. Stains everything permanently — wear old clothes. Do not pick unripe red berries (mildly hallucinogenic).
The tree is a few meters directly south of the botanical gardens entrance. It is planted inside the botanical gardens, but many branches hang over the fence, allowing you to harvest at night when the sun can't get you.
