🌳
Blackberry
📍 3801 Discovery Park Blvd, Seattle, WA 98199, USA
🗓 Season: July · August · September
🔍 When is it ripe?
Fully black (not red or dark red) and comes off the stem with no resistance — zero pull. Dull rather than shiny; a shiny black berry is still slightly underripe and tart. Eat the same day for best flavour.
Blackberry bushes line the entire path to the lighthouse from the parking lot. There are also a lot of bushes bu the small parking lot, but you have to pull yourself onto a 4 ft ledge for those. The parking lot is technically permit only, but if you are only there for 30 minutes, no one will stop you as long as there isn't an event.
