Ringless honey mushrooms

Ringless honey mushrooms Public
Trail enters the woods across the road from the muddy/sandy turnoff. Ringless honeys grow off buried roots or the bases of oak trees. Mushrooms grow in clusters in fall, a couple of days after the rain. Be sure you are familiar with mushrooms and confident in your ID before eating anything you find! Note: honey mushrooms should be cooked thoroughly before eating to prevent stomach upset.
