🔍 When is it ripe?
Fully black (not red or dark red) and comes off the stem with no resistance — zero pull. Dull rather than shiny; a shiny black berry is still slightly underripe and tart. Eat the same day for best flavour.
Large mouth bass, bluegill, yellow perch and rainbow trout. Play area for kids. Boat launch. Picnic tables. Pond next door is great swimming spot. Black berries everywhere. Great spot to take the whole family and spend the day having fun fishing and foraging.
