🔍 When is it ripe?
Berries fully coloured and slightly soft. Stem where it joins the bunch turns woody and brown. Seeds easily visible inside. Sweet throughout when fully ripe — taste from different parts of the cluster as they ripen unevenly. Grapes do not continue ripening after harvest.
the grapes grow along a long old multi-car garage on chapel ave. some of the vines come out to the alley. I have never been able to find out who owns the property to ask if the grapes could be picked from the garage itself. It is a free standing garage and not attached to a home.
