🔍 When is it ripe?
Deep red (or gold/yellow for golden varieties) and slides off the receptacle — the hollow centre is the tell. Does not pull: a ripe raspberry separates at a touch. Extremely fragile; use within hours of picking.
These wild raspberries were found on an old campground off red creek road. I believe it was an old girl scout campground that is being renovated to open up the grounds to any camper! The raspberries are all along the edge of the woods before the drop down to the beach/shore. Bring a bag, because there are a lot :) ! Beware of thorns + ticks!
