🔍 When is it ripe?
Bright red and detaches from the core plug with no resistance. Fragrant and very soft when ripe. Autumn-fruiting varieties produce a second flush in September–October.
IN the wooded area between Quiet Stream Ct and Misty Wood Circle are raspberry bushes. 60 years ago (or more) this used to be a berry farm. Every year there is a decent harvest, but it is tricky to get over the vines and bramble to the bushes.
You have to ask the apartment complex for permission to pick, some of the older residents harvest here, so please do not take it all.
