🔍 When is it ripe?
White to pale pink or lavender when ripe. Very sweet and mild. Falls from the tree when ripe — spread a sheet below and shake. Extremely delicate; eat within hours. Ripe berries stain less than black mulberry but deteriorate even faster.
Older well established tree with prolific fruit!
The house is current unoccupied but about 1/4 of the tree hangs over the sidewalk and freely drops fruit into the street.
