White to pale pink or lavender when ripe. Very sweet and mild. Falls from the tree when ripe — spread a sheet below and shake. Extremely delicate; eat within hours. Ripe berries stain less than black mulberry but deteriorate even faster.
These trees get full sun and yield quite well.
Fruit edible raw or cooked and taste delicious. This Trees fruit is Black in Color when ripe. Also they will easily fall off at the slightest touch.
Fruit Ripens In June and peaks in Mid June.
This tree in Particular yields well. Lay down a tarp to collect tons of mulberry and then sort through all of the sticks, leaves and unripe or bad fruit.
