🔍 When is it ripe?
Background skin colour shifts from green toward yellow; seeds turn brown when ripe. Fruit separates from the spur with a gentle upward twist. Aroma develops near the base. Wild Malus fruit is often small and tart — excellent for cider and jelly.
Flera fina äppelträd vid stadsbiblioteket mot slottsparken till. Vet inte vilken sort, men de är goda. Ta med stege!
Och på våren (april-maj) finns ett stort hav av kirskål att skörda under äppelträden, yummy!
