🔍 When is it ripe?
Flat, dome-shaped, brilliant red berries. Very delicate — falls apart when fully ripe. Eat on the spot; does not travel. Ripe when uniformly red and separates without effort.
Somewhere along Lake Rd, on the eastern side of the road, in 2018 I stopped in June/Early July and picked thimbleberries. The berry patch stretched over 100 ft along the roadside, about 10-15 ft offset. I have been unable to find the exact location this year...
