🔍 When is it ripe?
Deep red to purple-black when fully ripe. Falls naturally. Tart-sweet flavour. Spread cloth below and shake. Stains permanently.
About a third of this tree overhangs the road, and by the looks of the stains on the road, the fruit is never picked. This is very well producing and could offer a huge harvest in a short time foraging. The tree is in someones yard, so be courteous and ask permission first even if just picking from road.
