📍 1308 W Dayton St, Madison, WI 53715, USA
Serviceberry Public
🗓 Season: June · July
🔍 When is it ripe?
Small, round, turning from red to deep purple-black. Sweet and blueberry-like when fully dark. Birds eat them as soon as they ripen — check daily. Best fresh or in pies and jam.
A series of 6 Serviceberry trees are located between Union South and the Computer Sciences building on a mostly walking street. The trees are still young, yet fruitful. Fruiting is usually around June.
