🔍 When is it ripe?
Fully black (not red or dark red) and comes off the stem with no resistance — zero pull. Dull rather than shiny; a shiny black berry is still slightly underripe and tart. Eat the same day for best flavour.
Blackberries found all round edge of farmers field to north of Abingdon road. Access via footpath at west end of houses (marker) follow path along back of houses. Farmer generally happy with access but keep to footpath around edge of field.
