🔍 When is it ripe?
Fully black (not red or dark red) and comes off the stem with no resistance — zero pull. Dull rather than shiny; a shiny black berry is still slightly underripe and tart. Eat the same day for best flavour.
Lots of blackberry bushes (large and small) along trail. Some are more obvious some are hidden along the grass. They were fruiting today (July 5) but look like they'd continue a few more weeks or through the month possibly.
