🔍 When is it ripe?
Turns red, yellow, or purple depending on variety; flesh gives slightly under thumb pressure. Taste-test — ripe ones are sweet-tart with little astringency. Drops easily from stem when gently twisted.
Believed to be a cherry plum tree, dark red / purple leaves in the grass area in between the sidewalk and road. Fruit observed on ground in early June, assumed to be ripe. A healthy amount in the tree, small and firm fruit.
