Spruce
π 4CFQ+G6 Rancho Cucamonga, CA, USA
looks like a sitka spruce, but I wouldn't fully know - maybe it's a weeping brewer or a brewer spruce or other.
However, what I do know is that these are edible as well as how they are. These spruce trees might've come down the mountain - as they're very prevalent up there - especially around Mt. Baldy. These are mountain spruces for sure. Anyway - they're used to make spruce tea. According to edible alaska's website - spruce tips can be eaten raw, turned into jellies, cookies, syrup, etc. just about everything you can think to make it into and with. Some make soda out of it too - endless possibilities with the tree leaves there for the taking.
