🔍 When is it ripe?
Ripe when fully coloured (white, red, or black by species) and falls at a touch. Spread a sheet and shake the branches. Extremely perishable — process or eat immediately.
Comes into season around the Solstice, and lasts a few weeks. Drops tons of mulberries. Taste seems to depend on the year. Usually they're pretty tasty. Though they seemed a little lackluster in 2013.
